Saint Patricks Day!!!

Ah my wonderful, non-existant blog readers! And Vivienne =P <3 I feel so sick...

Yesterday was Saint Patricks Day, and I joined the boys for their pub crawl. Definitely had something to prove, and prove it I did! I went pint for pint with the rest of the guys, survived 15 hours of drinking and walking and trains. Woo!

Consequences being, I was drinking for so long that my immune system sort of sputtered, and I woke up this morning with a sore throat and what felt like a massively foggy head. Uggggh. I think I have a head cold.

But it was such a cool day, even though we waited in line at one place, with me neeeeeding to use the bathroom, for and hour and ten... *sigh* that was horrendous. When we got in, found a table real quick, and got beef and guinness pies, rustic cut chips, and mushy peas that were more a sauce than pea-shaped! The attendant accidentally put curry sauce on mine, but that sauce was incredibly tasty too!

We visited J.B. O'Reilleys, Paddy Hannans, The Moon and Sixpence, and Rosie O'Grady's. Doesn't sound like much, but when you have two rounds at each pub... and take public transport everywhere... no taxis! Just walking and forgetting to visit the bathroom, waiting in lines, pie and chips and gravy and sausages and onions and hasbrowns, Tullamore Dew and lots and lots of Guinness...

I never got sick once, I went round for round with the big boys, and I didn't complain once! Apart from when I needed to go to the bathroom... =/ but I didn't make that mistake again. Still suffering the effects of it all - The Panda-like Black Rose <3

Autumn Is My Spring.

In weather when it begins getting cooler in the mornings, the afternoons; the breeze picks up and washes away the stale summer breath, blossoms start to fall from the trees in a shower all around me. This is autumn, my favorite season, when I start to feel the crankiness of summer melt away with the stifling heat and hordes of flies.

To the days of better moods, and nicer fashions, I've already got one up on this seasons hottest! Ahh, cowboy boots are coming into massive fashion this winter, and unlike all the poser fashionistas, who will be buying cheap, shoddy eighty dollar hideous cowboy boots from Rubi shoes, I've already got a very expensive pair of black leather, nearly three hundred dollar boots! Proper cowboy. Girl. Whichever! I may have had to get mens ones just to fit my enormous feet, but I can't remember how to check on the size...

In any case, fashionable meeee! They're already broken in, and look fantastic with pretty much anything! Skirts and stocking, work pants, jean, shorts and cardigans... they're wonderfully versatile, and great quality; my boyfriends pair actually lasted him more than eight months; shock horror! He wears his boots out in about three months, due to stomping around in them... Oh this winter will be fun, with only a few small additions to my wardrobe, like stockings and cardigans that aren't one ml thick!

Note: do not purchase from Supre, they're like summer jumpers, essentially. Good for hot weather times when you're not sure if it's going to be hot or cold, either way you're covered. But they really are completely useless besides...

What a difference a cold morning makes. I've had some incredibly tasty, freshly brewed goth juice in my choc milk, so im absolutley buzzing, and the cool breeze has me actually singing along to some music I've not listened to in ages! I feel really good today, I can't wait for this weekend, and im just... I don't know! Hopping around happily even though I had to get up really early to get to work. Im even excited to go to work!

I want to make some really good use of my time this week; I've got a lot of sewing to get done before the weekend, and my housemates very cool older brother totally gave me this antique sewing machine that works wonderfully! I woke up in the morning, and it was sitting in the lounge with an enormously fat book of sewing tips and techniques on top of it. I can't wait to pull it out and get sewing!

I can't wait for much it seems! I can't wait to get onto a proper computer and finally put some pictures up into my blog posts, to show all you readers out there what I've been up to, and what I look like! I'm a mobile blogger and I can't upload pictures quite yet... it normally takes a while for my phone and the sites I frequent to get used to eachother. I used to have such limited functions on facebook, but now there's heaps!

Just now, I saw a bus scrape up alongside another bus. Gee that was funny... I know it's not supposed to be, but it so was...

I want a top hat! I know my mum has a few hats for me; she's been getting them from a friend of hers that's involved with a small theatre company. I'm not huge on hats, but I think the right styles work. I've got a little black cordeuroy train-drivers cap that looks really cute with my hair down... I'm interested to see the top hat, if it suits, but it'll be used for my birthday party, as my boyfriend will be dressed as a Cockney from the Mighty Boosh. Hopefully it's small enough for his head.... but I claim it after that! Mine! I'll put a ring of polo mints round the edge and call it mine!

Anyways my Bloggingtons! I'm off to start work, and I shall post again soon.

Pandas and Charms, and Little Delights...

I had spearmint milk last night, and it was like being young again! (Like tiny young; I know I'm not that old...) The tasty flavoured milk, all green and minty... I was having a stressful day until I decided I'd like something comforting, but not as bad for me as chocolate. The spearmint milk made me feel much better, and nostalgic.

This afternoon I decided to splash a little money on some silly jewellery... I saw essentially a charm bracelet, that had lego blocks on it, and instantly wanted it! But when I went into the shop to get it they didn't have any left... *sad faces*

So instead, I found a bracelet with Pacman charms, which is just as good... and also a bracelet made up of, hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades, all striking in their red and black suits. Then I discovered a treasurey treasure... Teeny tiny panda earrings, for my little panda ears. I took them home and wore them with my Pacmans!

I have always wanted a charm bracelet. I got excited about the cheap ballet ones they used to sell in newsagents but my mum would never really let me have one, and it got to a point where I found the cheap ones really flimsy, and gave up on the idea. Now I'm thinking it might be a good thing to ask for, for my birthday ;P

A Particular type of chain, and I'll collect charms to put on it! A Black Rose charm, a Panda charm, a little ship or plane, a wolf, a trefoil, a sword. It would be such a pretty little bracelet! I've always wanted one... ever so much!

(\(\

The Panda Of Doom - A Poem

I love to write poems; I wrote this one saying goodnight to a mate of mine. I swear it just came out! I've no idea where I found the words for it, but at least it made her laugh!

The Panda Of Doom - A Poem

Nighty night, I wish thee dreams
So says the panda of doom!
She sprinkles nightly pringle dust,
About your darkened room.

She puts a vial upon your pillow
of darkest, Gothly Juice.
And prays you wake up sluggish,
After dreams of Howard Moose.

You'll have need of that tomorrow,
That evil vicious brew.
Drain it down most greedily,
And feel your strength anew!

She sleeping, sighs and rolls around
Uneasy in her bed.
For ghostly shapes of Pandas
penetrate her dreams instead.

Morning comes most drearily,
A stretch, a yawn, a moan.
She reaches for the goth juice
And looks quizzically at her phone...

"Oh Panda of Doom what have you done!!
It'll be shiney, tasty nice!"
She whipped down to the kitchen
Pouring it into milk in a trice.

She gibbers and clicks and swallows it down,
Taking delight in its quick effect.
For Goth Juice and sexy times;
Panda of Doom for President, Elect!

Black Mary Jane Obsession

You know when you just come across something and know that although you really can't afford to buy it, you simply must?

I found a wonderful pair of shoes today. And my friend Emma ended up chipping in, to my fervent promises of sharesies! They're mary janes, with a -inch heel, and an attached sock like thing, like the rest of a boot? But it's a soft suede-like material that feels wonderful and keeps the shoes firmly on my feet. So its like wearing the most comfortable socks with lovely mark janes =)
It's a classic style and they were only fifty dollars!

Honestly I feel like I've stumbled across a vintage pair of shoes, but I found them in Emporio in Perth, and they're made by Mollini. The original price was $280 *shudder* I also found the most rock looking, sexy pair of heels... Black patent leather, silver studs across the top of the shoe line, and six straps; three close to the toe, and three around the ankle, with a little zip up the back of the heel. Very very comfortable, (as I just had to try them on), but with twenty percent off, they were still $190, and that's just not justifiable on a pair of shoes!

So our shopping day was cut short. Our actual plan was to have some breakfast at the new Fast Eddies outlet in the city, and then hit the op shops, as both of us are pretty low on money. Her not having a job yet, and me with not very much by way of my pay left, as most of it went into rent and fuel this week. Oh I did look so forawrd to getting into those op shops!

I have to be prepared for my birthday in may, because we've decided to have a Mighty Boosh Party, and for Josh, his character is a cockney accented nutjob, with a top hat, firemen boots and a long but plain frock coat... The Hitcher! I think my best bet is to be trying the op shops for that sort of thing, and we do need a red pair of pants and a knitted red scarf. Ahhh! It'll be such fun!

I'll be dressing up as Elsie, the eel girl =P
So I can't wait to be making my lime green outfit, finding myself a tiny tiara, some black pointe shoes, and whipping up some felty eels! I'm going to be helping my mates with their outfits too. I know Delbz will be coming as Naboo, and I've got the perfect materials, (well, my mum does, and she's already said I could make a pair of pants out of the beautiful blue satiny fabric she has), as well as a little piece of embroidery with a peacock on it, perfect for a turban!

There's a lot of planning for celebrations going on; march will be a very full month, and may will be enormous, with five people just off the top of my head that have their birthdays! I'll be busy sewing and creating and working and cooking allllll through that time, and the weeks working up til then.

Oh! I've a lot on my plate! Time to go and finish making my cannelloni for dinner... =P

No Good Vibes =(

Ahhhh what a downer day! I hate sitting at home while everyone else gets to go to a music festival. Mostly, I don't like to waste money on something I won't enjoy, but I wanted to go to Good Vibes, couldn't afford it, didn't get a ticket, and then a friend says he can get me in! Then he tells me it's not a sure thing, so then I couldn't go. I'd have to trek home from something-or-other Island if they couldn't get me in. Wayyyy too far. Hamilton Island? I'm still not sure.

So instead, I stay at home, to catch up on allllll the cleaning and things I've been unable to do during the week. Having a job now, means that I'm no longer compensating, so my boyfriend still makes all the mess he normally does, but I don't have time to pick up after him anymore.

Ahhh the silly things I'm doing today;

* Emptying all the bins and changing all the liners

* Finally catching up on washing

* Cleaning the sink and benches, finally clearing them of all dishes! (Ohhhh having dishes always on the sink all week was driving me mad!)

* Cleaning up the toilet paper rolls and magazines all over the toilet floor...

* Clearing out and tidying up our storage cupboard in our bedroom. (Storage for our towels, personal snack foods =P his car cleaning stuff, the medicine box, and any other miscellanious junk that gets shoved in there out of the way.)

* Finally vaccuuming all the dog hair off of every floor surface and corner

* Changing over the bed sheets and pillow cases

* Sewing up that cushion I've been meaning to do for two weeks =/

Ahhh! All the things I haven't been doing! How do people manage!? I think we really have to start cleaning up as we go, more. How lazy do I feel? Quite.

Tomorrow morning, I get to wake up at five thirty to get ready to go to work, ring in at six, and see if I'm actually working! Because if I'm starting at eight and I haven't left by six, I won't get to work on time... This'll teach me for not checking the book before I left work! I guess it's a good thing I'm not going to Good Vibes, as I would probably have been dead tomorrow! Awww no, Josh has the day off... Bastard!

Well, my dear blog-readers, those few of you that there are, I must away! Back to my cleaning and scrubbing and tidying and vaccuuming!

There's a Long-Necked Turtle In My Iranian Tea Pot!

Went hunting for turtles last night.... we saw three paddling around the jetty, and then one surfaced when I shined my torch on him, and then he was hunting fishies! He was slinky and the long necked breed look extra freaky, with their little paddle feet, and big giraffey necks. They almost look like snakes.
He slowly paddled around, looking for the little fish he could chase, then suddenly, he came to the surface and chomped the fishy down! I freaked with excitement for a few seconds, then watched him some more. I found I could herd the fish with my torch so the turtle could chow down on more at a time! It was awesome.

Then we ate choc honeycomb on the grass, and went home. It was such a very extra long day, my dear ones. I've been working very hard lately. At a new job, I want to make the very best impression, and earn lots of money so that I can live stress-free! I want money to keep the bills paid, and to have good food, and go out to dinner sometimes. A relationship will get stale unless you do special things!

I like to go out to dinner, or to a movie. It's like a date =)
We live together, and do the shopping and washing and cleaning up. It may be comfortable, but fun and spontaneity is very very important, and we love to do things together and apart.

I decided one day I'd like to go on a cruise. Open water, yes, does freak me out. But I think a boat would be comfortable and big enough that I'd get over my anxiety pretty quick. Who knows, maybe by the time im old enough to go on a cruise, I'll be over it!

Also, I saw this evening, whilst watching JAG, an Iranian tea pot =) It was extra tall and metal, with engraved designs, and a long thin spout that came up from the bottom, to two thirds of the way up the rest of it! I decided that I'd like to collect beautiful pieces like this, and that tea is not just for the english! I will make more cupcakes tomorrow, and have tea just for myself in the evening.

Oh The Strange Strange World

Oh how I have seen the strangest things today... and it's only nine in the morning =/
Waiting for my bus this morning, a man rode past on a bike. Yes, a man, he had a beard and everything. He was also wearing a beige mini skirt; ripped up to the pockets for leg mobility, so that you could see the inner pockety bits flapping about.

*shudder*

Ohhhh! The creepy things I have the misfortune to witness!

It also scares me that little canvas tennis shoes seem to have come back into fashion, but luckily its a trend that seems to run only in the circles of school kids of the high school variety. Still, I'll stick to my heels and All Stars and ballet flats. I do so love pretty shoes. I've made my friend and fellow Black Rose, Vivienne, quite rageful with jealousy over some of my more elaborate goth styled shoes. Heh heh heh...

What creepiness have you witnessed?

Pie and Beer and an Oddly Wonderful Date

I wish and wish and wish to make a patchwork blanket. I wish I wish I could sew neater, cutting neatly and binding all the pieces together for pretty patterns. I want a lovely patchwork for my bed in my dream house with my Josh and my Future-Cat, whom I will call Tullie, and he will curl up on the patchwork and sleep at my feet in the winter-times. My Future-Cat, not my Josh =)

Wonderful furry silky wondering cat. I miss my cats... warm warm fluffy belly Guiness, with his dribbling and big paws and sleepy eyes all the time. Beautiful regal snuffly Sherry, with big wide eyes and snootiness but love all the same. All little snuggly animals I love... mothers bunnies, Misty and Bailey, huddled in their hutch together, playing nicely now... Bailey was scared and cranky and confused and bit Misty on her tail =(

Misty was ok, and graciously forgave her new bunny sister and now they hop and hop around eachother in their little hutch that smells of straw and apricots... oh how they love to nibble at apricots, steal them out of your waiting fingers and snuffle them back to a hidden corner to enjoy all on their own. Bunnies are wonderful creatures.

Tonight we celebrate Valentines a day late. Busy busy times abound, and times for relaxing and breathing are hard to find. I stitched and sewed and rubbed my little fingers sore making a present for my dear one... a felt heart, a representation of my own, for him to look at, and see and realise, and to have and to keep safe for me.

White. Purple. Spiky black. A button from my favorite dress. A purple feather. More little hearts... A sun and a golden chain draped across one side. A little ceramic smiley black kitty. Bronze and topaz squares. To remind and remind of all my aspects and our times together too.

We plan so badly! Everything falls through. Or we fall asleep! But tonight is treating to lovely dinner at a most wonderful Irish pub. I ring nervously to make a reservation, silly silly nervousness. Dim lighting and old signs and a boat on the wall and in the main hall. A real axe and pick, old and carved and worked with, above the kitchen doors. It's all lovely and peaceful and authentic as a pub should be. Even our waitress last time had a most wonderful Irish accent!

Does beef and Guinness pie sound good to you?

My little cupcakes from earlier are icey iced and have little rainbow sprinkles on top for looking pretty and tasting yummy. Little vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter frosting for later, with tea and chatting.

Ooo look, birdies.

Tea-Cakes and Rain-Wishes

Want stars and Cookie Monsters, and company and tea.
I'm having a grumpy childish day today... Days past have not been so much awesome, more a mess and sad. Guilty for snarfing down bad bad naughty foods for dinner yesterday evening, and falling into sleep on the not-so-comfy couch.

Oh the back of the Panda hurts! What shall I do today to have fun? Fantasies about my future tearoom, or possible shoeroom, in the lovely house I wish to move into one day soon. Finishing another book... shall I go onto the next I've already started? A trip into the city is scheduled for this afternoon, but only for errands and not for fun.

I've decided! I shall make sweet vanilla cupcakes, and ice them with buttery sweet icing, and put sprinkles and sparkles and happiness over them all! Sweet little cupcakes to share and share and share. I will go to it and be back!

My cupcakes always grow and cook up over the edge of their little paper pans... my belly is warm with uncooked cupcake, it sits heavy and blob-like. Ahh my cupcakes are always too big! Note to self - fill pans less...

It's nice and clear again outside, but I wish it was cold and cloudy and rainy. The rain is peaceful. It lets me think. I love to read and look outside and stand in the cool air. I love winter. Summer makes my head all melt to mush and I can't think or breathe or sleep.

Even walking in the winter is fun. Puddles and ducks and rainy still! For this winter I will have some beautiful rainboots. Rubbery and safe and dry, to keep the nice rain away from my toes. Best for running and jumping and splashing shhh...

Can't wait to have tea and cupcakes with Josh.

Wishes and Wishes

Guess what...? Naughty chippies and cool cool water, preparing for Valentines and writing sweet thoughts with my favorite PandaPencil...

Filled with odd thoughts today, and an attempt to be creative is blocked by lack of materials! I must restock my little(big) bag with new coloured felts and laces and sequins and beads... new rainbow threads, and silky and metallic threads, for most wonderful embroidery and personalised gifts. Feathers and shells and flowers and pearls...

What a wishlist!
Oh how I wish for a beautiful teaset of my own! To hold tea parties with friends, and relax on my own, with sweets and tasty treats, and lovely music...

I do have so many wishes...

Shaken... Not Stirred.

How do you like your eggs? No, I don't mean to say that the options are shaken or stirred! But I'm pretty particular about the way I like my eggs... I feel more aware of it, and a bit sheepish, after making breakfast for everyone this morning.

The way I make breakfast eggs are particular. By myself, I have them sunny-side-up, but when I make them for others, I scramble them, with yummy bacon.

I'm constantly teased, though! I like the eggs beaten gently to a certain consistancy, (whipped about a bit with a fork, but with proteins and yolks still separate), a splash of milk, and a little bit of cheese and salt during the cooking process. I like them light and fluffy and a little bit salty!

Am I just pedantic and particular...? Or do you have heavy specifications on the way you like your eggs too?!

Summers

It's a hot, sweet, dry summer day... Not exactly my cup of tea, but a good day to start a blog nonetheless! I'm tidying up around the pool, waiting for dusk, when the fairy lights will be switched on, the icy drinks come out, and my friends come over!

My partner and I decided not to go to the big festival of the year, Big Day Out, as it all became too much hassle, and too much money, and instead, have decided to hold a pool party! It's warm, and humid, and we've got a little pool under the patio, the size of a spa.

From our intimate vantage point, we look out over the expansive grassy area we call our backyard, dotted with orange trees and a bamboo forest way up the back. I can't wait until my other Boosh -Loving friend arrives!
